Now the reality shows have become the bandwagon. These shows are very much appealing to the audience and mostly the youth find it endearing. Gone are those days when people thronged the theaters and waited in the queues to get their tickets. The television service providers are competing in the market to provide the best services to their customers. You have the On Demand movies and videos right on your television screen. So gradually the human craze has shifted from the movies and soaps to the thrilling reality shows on TV.

The reality shows are able to hoard a zillion viewers as they are packed with suspense and fill the minds of audience with anxiety. The audience are impatiently kept waiting for the next episode to be telecast. The reality shows have something that is common from our day to day life and so the people are able to emotionally connect to them. The reality shows usually have ordinary people acting in them which increase their popularity. The reality shows portrays live events revolving around dramatic situations and humorous plots. Sometimes the shows are live competitions where the participants compete with one another and the winner is awarded some prize.

The reality shows are weekly episodes and every episode reveals a mystery. This keeps the viewer’s nerves on the edge. My 8 year old son is a frantic fan of the American Idol. He loved to hear Scotty McCreery sing and my son couldn’t contain his joy when McCreery won the title for the American Idol. My son would never dare to miss a single episode and he had a group of friends who were fans of Scotty McCreery. The influence of the reality shows on the audience is alarming. The reality shows are changing the lifestyle of the people and the children are seen imitating their favorite contestants, considering them as heroes.

The reality shows are great way to gain instant fame and popularity. A simple man participating in a reality show becomes recognized and famous all of a sudden within a few episodes. The reality shows garner a lot of revenue to the media and advertising companies. Many shows have the voting system by which the audience can vote for their favorite contestant. The voting system is made possible through SMS, Internet and calls. So the audience too can be a part of the selection process. This keeps the viewers curious of the results.

The audiences are enthralled by the fact that ordinary people like them are gaining popularity, finding a career and making a fortune through these shows. The reality shows have been around for quite some time. Alan Funt’s TV series “Candid Camera” was the first reality show which was telecast around 1948. And soon the reality shows started gaining wide acceptance with the arrival of successful series like the Survivor, the Real World, Road Rules and the American Idol.

Every American would have watched a series of the American Idol. The American Idol is a reality singing competition and it has made a remarkable mark in the history of American entertainment. It is the highest rated show according to Nielsen’s ratings and it has won the title for the most watched TV series for eight consecutive years. The American Idol was produced by Simon Fuller and it was first telecast on June 11, 2002. The important aspect of this show is that the winner is selected by the viewers through a voting system. The series has a panel of judges who assess the contestant’s performance. The Survivor is another show that has gained equal popularity amongst the audience. It is a reality game show where a group of participants try to survive the ordeals in an isolated island or deserted place.

Nevertheless, the reality shows are a viable platform to many aspiring people who wish to display their talents and skills.

stand up paddle surfing is the latest craze that has dropped in on surfing hotspots and beaches all across the world. Not only has there been an explosion in specialized paddles for sale, including carbon fiber paddles and racing paddles, but the Internet is buzzing with paddle reviews, tips on buying paddle board paddles, and expert advice on SUP surfing.

The sport of stand up paddle surfing, paddleboard surfing, surf paddling, or whatever you want to call it is inexpensive to begin and easy to master. stand up paddle surfing allows participants to wring all the pleasure out of the sport of surfing even when the waves are small. Even if there are no waves at all, you can use your SUP paddle and board to explore all sorts of hidden nooks and crannies along the beach.

For the adventurous stand up paddle surfing enthusiast, however, it’s all about catching the waves. Here are five important tips to keep in mind while stand up paddle surfing.

The most important thing you can do while waiting for a crest is to keep your eyes on the ocean. Watching how the waves build will help to train you to be able to spot the perfect moment to catch a wave. Once you’ve found a great spot on a great day, simply stand there and wait while watching the mighty ocean roll up and down.

The best waves for amateur stand up paddle surfing are slow-moving crests that are only between knee and shoulder height. If the wave is too fast or too high, simply leave it for a surfer with a smaller, more maneuverable board.

Waves come in sets so don’t think you have to catch the first one that comes at you. Once you’ve spotted the perfect wave, begin your approach. Timing is crucial, and you want to catch it at some point before it breaks. If you approach it too early, however, it won’t grab you and carry you for very long.

Hook into the wave, pointing your board at an angle either away from or toward the upcoming peak to ensure that you catch it at just the right point. You want to be moving at about the same speed as the wave when it catches you, so paddle quickly toward the beach. Make sure your feet are planted firmly and that your weight is evenly distributed. Paddle furiously either on alternate sides of the board or just one if that works better for you.

When the wave catches you, you will feel it. As you drop in, step backward on the board ever so slightly to allow the tip to point slightly upward. This will ensure that you get the greatest distance possible out of the wave. Change to a surfing stance with your front foot forward and your back foot slightly sideways while crouching a little. Stop paddling as the wave picks you up and feel the rush of wind and motion as it propels you toward the shore.

As the SUP paddle and the sport of stand up paddle surfing takes the world by storm, the amount of paddles for sale increases by the day. But with so many kinds of paddle board paddles on the market – racing paddles, carbon fiber paddles, and more – how can the new SUP surfing enthusiast decide which SUP paddle is best for him?

As long as the SUP paddle you are considering has a few great paddle reviews online, it is probably a quality SUP paddle. But will the make, model, and size be right for you? Here are a few tips and secrets about the SUP paddleblade to help you choose the perfect SUP paddle.

The first thing you should know when choosing a paddle to accompany you in the sport of surf paddling is that, as it turns out, size does matter. The bigger the paddle is, the more power it may propel you along with, but the harder it will be to manipulate. The trend in the world of paddleboard surfing today is much the same as in the world of electronics. Everything is getting smaller, and that goes for SUP paddles just as much as it does for smartphones.

Using a smaller blade will put less stress on your new stand up paddling muscles. Especially when just beginning in this sport, that is an important concern to keep in mind. You don’t want to have to wake up the day after a furious paddle boarding session to a pounding full-body SUP paddle boarding hangover that involves aches and cramps in muscles you never even knew you had. Although some soreness is to be expected, especially at first, this can be minimized by using a smaller SUP paddle and a lot of care.

Smaller SUP paddles usually weigh less than their larger counterparts, and this will mean that you will be able to employ a faster cadence of strokes for higher speed and greater maneuverability. Expert paddle boarding is all about control, and with a smaller paddle, you will have a much higher degree of control over your craft.

Still, every person is different, and it’s important that the blade size of your SUP paddle fits the type of paddling that you most enjoy and to which your body type is best suited. Although having a paddle that is too big for you can be a downer, you don’t want to get stuck with a paddle that is too small for your body either, as that can also seriously cramp your style.

The SUP paddle surfing community is quite active and, fortunately for you, exceptionally verbose about this particular issue. Many SUP websites offer size charts that can help you compare your body type and paddling style to a number of different paddle sizes. Using a size chart on an SUP website can help you find the ideal paddle to match your size and technique. Hold it firmly and give it a couple of test pumps before buying it. If it feels right, it probably is.

Second only to choosing your stand up paddle surfing board is choosing the SUP paddle that will be your companion through the thick and the thin of this high-octane sport. For the SUP surfing amateur, money may definitely be a primary consideration. Even when the wallet is shallow, however, it’s important to have a quality paddle to accompany you in your fiber paddles adventures or you may get into some pretty deep water, metaphorically speaking. Quality paddle board paddles are an essential part of the sport of paddleboard surfing, without which the SUP surfing amateur may find himself up a creek, so to speak.

Two of the most popular paddles for sale in today’s SUP world of commerce are fiberglass paddles and carbon fiber paddles. Although their names may look deceptively similar, there is a world of difference separating these two types of paddle board paddles. Here are a few comparisons between fiberglass paddles and carbon fiber paddles.

Both of these paddles are constructed from man-made materials. Both are reinforced with fiber and have much more flexible properties than paddles made from natural materials, which are rarely used in this sport. Both fiberglass paddles and carbon fiber paddles are made from layers of fiber woven in very specific directions in order to afford the maximum amount of flexibility and strength.

Because the materials that these paddles are made from are completely synthetic from the ground up, the manufacturers have a great degree of control over the fabrication of the paddles, their design, and the way they are layered. Both carbon fiber and fiberglass paddles have the ability to be stiffer, stronger, lighter, and more flexible than paddles made from other materials.

Still, even the great amount of similarities between these two can be deceptive. When it comes down to it, these paddles are more different than night and day, and in the battle for supremacy between the two, there is a clear winner.

According to the majority of paddle reviews, fiberglass paddles are the cheaper of the two. Because fiberglass is heavier than carbon fiber, the fiberglass paddle is also the heavier of the two. The properties of fiberglass and the amount of reinforcement it requires can often cause fiberglass paddles to be about a third heavier than carbon fiber paddles. If this doesn’t seem like much to you, wait till you’ve tried it out on the water.

This extra weight means that you will get tired about a third faster than when using the more expensive but much lighter carbon fiber paddle. For this reason, the majority of racing paddles are carbon fiber paddles. The heavier fiberglass paddle is less maneuverable than the lightweight carbon fiber paddle, and this can make all the difference in the world for the amateur learning an unfamiliar sport in unfamiliar territory.

If you decide to buy a fiberglass paddle, you may find yourself trading it in for a slightly more expensive carbon fiber paddle after a short time of struggling with its inefficiency out amongst the waves. Why not do it right the first time and go for a carbon fiber model right off the bat?

Although stand up paddle surfing shines as a hobby, it differs greatly from competitive SUP surfing or even as a career. You may be able to get away with regular or even cheap fiber paddles boards and paddle board paddles when paddleboard surfing just for the fun of it. When you decide to compete, however, the vast majority of the average boards and paddles for sale simply won’t do.

Paddle board racing requires specialized equipment – top quality boards and carbon fiber paddles that were designed specifically to give you an edge in a competition. Because the quality of the SUP paddle used can have such a great bearing on the outcome of the race, here are three paddle reviews addressing the top three racing paddles under $350.

Quickblade: racing paddles made by Quickblade are some of the most popular in the sport. These racing paddles weigh in at only 16 ounces and are bordered by a thin, extremely light ABS edge. Their light weight allows them a huge degree of maneuverability in the water. The lighter your paddle is, the more strokes you will be able to get in and the faster you will go. On the downside, Quickblade paddles are a bit pricey with some models costing as much as $400. Quickblade paddles are some of the stiffest in their weight category, and their lack of flexibility could be a problem for some racers. The standard grip offered for the handles of these paddles is also quite soft and tends to chip or tear faster than other brands. Additionally, the blade is wider than normal, and the blade logos have a tendency to get scuffed up or scratched off.

Carbonerro: This brand offers a variety of both surfing and racing paddles, from lower-end models to top-quality paddles. The average price of a Carbonerro paddle is lower than the average price of a Quickblade, and the company is one hundred percent focused on the SUP market. Carbonerro paddles come with ABS edges and are slightly lighter than Quickblade paddles. The logo and designs on the blade are sub-laminated and don’t wear off as found on some other models. On the downside, Carbonerro is a new face in the world of SUP products. The company is smaller and has less of a market share than some of the other SUP giants. Although this fresh outlook can definitely have its benefits, it can also mean that the company and its products are not as field-tested as other, better-established brands.

Kialoa: Kialoa makes a unique style of paddle involving an oval shaft that provides a fascinating experience and a grip that is both tight and firm. All Kialoa products are made in the United States. On the downside, there is no dihedral on the back of the blades of Kialoa racing paddles. A dihedral is a ridge or spine that prevents the paddle blade from drifting from side to side, without which paddling can be considerably more difficult. Kialoa paddles also feature a blade that is quite wide, and this can affect the rapidity with which it moves through the water.

Kialoa paddles also feature a blade that is quite wide, and this can affect the rapidity with which it moves through the water.

stand up paddle surfing equipment has a slightly different focus for women than it does for men. Because women are generally smaller than men and have less muscle mass, both the SUP surfing board and the SUP paddle they use must also be lighter and easier to maneuver. Women can become adept at fiber paddles just as easily as men; it’s only a matter of finding and using the right equipment that matches their style and weight.

paddleboard surfing is a very much a sport of balance where the person who is better able to stay on his or her feet has the better chance of excelling. Because women have a lower center of gravity than men, the average woman’s sense of balance can often be more finely tuned than the average man’s. This is one of the many reasons why many women gain proficiency at this sport faster than their male contemporaries.

Although there is plenty of information available about paddle board paddles in general, very little of that information is directly specifically to women. While paddle reviews and product comparisons between the latest racing paddles, carbon fiber paddles, and fiberglass paddles for sale abound, if you’re looking for SUP paddle information specific to the challenges women face in the sport, you may be left high and dry. With that in mind, here are a few general paddle reviews and considerations specifically addressing women who love or want to learn the sport of stand up paddle surfing. We hope that the below information will help you to choose an SUP paddle that you will adore and that suits your body perfectly.

It is difficult and not usually advisable to generalize about an entire gender, but it’s probably safe to say that most women are lighter than most men. Where men tend to have thick bones and a hefty muscular structure, women tend to be more petite and delicate. Many paddle reviews mention the weight of the paddle, and when looking for a paddle that will best suit you as a women paddle boarder, this is a good place to start. You need a paddle that is as light as possible. A lighter paddle will be easier on your frame and will tire you out less quickly.

Just because you want a lighter paddle, however, it doesn’t mean you should settle for one that is weaker. You need an SUP paddle that is light, lithe, and strong. Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, there are many carbon fiber paddles that fit this very description.

Women also usually prefer a smaller blade on their paddles. Look for paddle reviews that describe the size and width of the blade, and try to find one with a narrow profit that matches your body size and offers a smooth stroke.

The last thing to consider is how well the paddle matches your paddling style. Although this will probably not be covered by most paddle reviews, testing out the paddle for yourself is a sure way to tell whether you love it or hate it.
