The Home Kit

The brand new home kit will be seen when the Rangers are playing at the Ibrox Stadium. The short sleeve shirt has been manufactured by Umbro and their logo can be seen on the right hand side of the top and the impressive club crest is on the left. Playing Away in a Similar Style

The away Celtic shirts are designed in a very similar vein. There are the horizontal stripes once more, although the sleeves are in green as is the round neck of the shirt. The rest is in white and a darker grey and each stripe is separated by a very slim band of green.

The third kit is dramatically different and extremely eye catching. The bright yellow is the base of the shirt which is then broken up by strong black lines and slightly thinner black lines. This is great effect and no doubt will be slightly off putting for the other team when playing against Celtics wearing these Celtic shirts.

Ozil is bound to win trophies at Madrid, his hard-work and dedication will surely make him a better player in seasons to come.

Mourinho is very passionate about what he does, there are very fine examples of the same, after the first leg against Barcelona the manager was restricted from sitting in his dugout and later handed a five match ban, this again goes to show that he is very passionate and wants to win all the time.

He won Madrid the Copa del Rey title in his first season which is quite an achievement considering the fact that the team defeated Barcelona in the final, many consider Barcelona as the best team in the world. The right mixture of youth and experience is very important and under Mourinho many youngsters have made their debut, this again goes to show that the manager wants young players to play for the first team. He was instrumental in the signings of Ricardo Carvalho and Mesut Ozil from Chelsea and Werder Bremen respectively and both players had a very impressive season, Ozil was instrumental in creating several goals and Ricardo Carvalho’s defending ability was a very big boon for the club, this goes to show that the manager knows what players to sign, he is sagacious and knows how to hold the team together and get the best out of them.

Mourinho got his tactics wrong against Barcelona in the first EL CLASICO of the season, Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 5-0 at the Nuo Camp, the team also failed to perform consistently throughout the season as a result of which Barcelona won the La Liga, after the first leg defeat Mourinho changed his tactics and defeated Barcelona in the Copa del Rey, the team played well against Barcelona in the Champions League also but the sending off of Pepe changed the whole complexion of the tie, this goes to show that the manager learns from his mistakes and does not repeat the same mistakes over and over again like few other managers.

The track record of the manager speaks for itself; he has won at least one trophy in a year with every club that he has managed to date. He won the Champions League with FC Porto; he won the Champions League again with Inter Milan. His home record also speaks for itself; he has the most enviable home record. Is he good for Real Madrid? Yes, he is certainly good for the club; he has a lot to prove to fans and he will do it in the seasons to come.

Alfredo di Stefano:-
The legendary player is an icon, he was nicknamed Saeta rubia which means blond arrow, he was a very versatile player, he used to score goals for fun but he was also great at defending, he would come back to defend whenever his team needed him, he is one of the highest goal scorers of the La Liga, he netted 216 goals in 282 league matches which is an unbelievable record. He was also instrumental in Real Madrid’s success in European competitions.

Zidane:-
Zizou was bought from Juventus for a world record fee; he had a very successful stint with Real Madrid. The legendary player dazzled the fans, his ball control and skills captivated the spectators, his playmaking ability stood out from the rest of the players. Zidane’s goal in 2002 final won Real Madrid the UEFA Champions League for a record ninth time in their history. The legend retired after playing his last game against Italy in the final of the 2006 World Cup; sadly he failed to lift the World Cup that year and ended up being on the losing side.

Luiz Ronaldo:-
The Brazilian forward who recently hung up his boots was a great goal scorer, he was an instant success at Real Madrid scoring on his debut, he lifted the La Liga in his debut season. Ronaldo’s jerseys sold like hot cakes on his arrival from Inter Milan, the sale broke all previous records. The player signed for AC Milan after a turbulent season with Madrid, he had gained weight and fell out of favor with the coach and had to move on.

Raul:-
The veteran player came through the youth ranks of Real Madrid and made a name for himself within absolutely no time, he won the La Liga 6 times with Real Madrid, Raul lifted the UEFA Champions League thrice with the club, Raul is one player who has never been shown a red card in his professional career which is spread across 17 professional seasons. He has scored over 300 goals for Real Madrid; he also broke Alfredo di Stefano’s record.

Figo:-
Figo received a lot of flak from the fans after he signed for Real Madrid, he was previously with Barcelona, the rivalry between the two clubs meant that the Barcelona fans thought that he was a traitor and gave him a very hostile reception, they threw several objects towards him which also included a pig’s head. Figo’s stint with Real Madrid was quite successful; he lifted the La Liga and the UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid. Figo signed for Inter Milan in the summer of 2005, his contract with Real Madrid had expired and the club decided not to renew it and as a result of which the player moved to Inter Milan.

One of the more intriguing players this year, in my opinion, is Jerome Simpson. He was drafted in 2008 and has struggled at the pro level ever since. Late in 2010 he got an opportunity to play. With Terrell Owens out with an injury, Simpson played in the last three games and he made the most of it. In week 16 at home against the San Diego Chargers he caught six balls for 124 yards and two touchdowns. A phenomenal day which opened all of our eyes too the talent this young man has. He finished it off in week 17 by catching a phenomenal 12 balls for 123 yards and one touchdown, making him a possible fantasy football sleeper.

Simpson has good size standing 6’2″ tall and weighing around 190 pounds. He is strong and quick. The situation is almost perfect for him to put up big fantasy football numbers. Terrell Owens is most likely not returning to the Bengals. Included is the latest rumor that TO has recently had ACL surgery on one of his knees. It is up in the air whether Chad Ochocinco will return to the Bengals. This April the Bengals did add rookie A.J. Green who is an excellent talent.

However, rookie wide receivers usually don’t contribute significantly fantasy football wise their first year. Adding to this concern is the lack of OTA’s and a shortened training camp could make it even tougher for rookies to come up to speed on the offensive schemes.

So it appears the Bengals will be relying heavily on Jerome Simpson as most likely their number one target in 2011. This is good news for fantasy football managers who are looking for a late round sleeper. Right now Simpson is going post 10th round in most 12 team fantasy football drafts.

And now for the bad news. With Carson Palmer leaving the team, according to Palmer, the Bengals are going to rely on rookie quarterback Andrew Dalton. This throws some cold water on Simpson’s fantasy football value. What is the chance Simpson could be a top 20 receiver with a rookie quarterback throwing to him? That’s the big question you have to ask yourself.

I personally believe Simpson will be a top-20 fantasy football wide receiver this year despite the fact Dalton will be throwing to him. If training camp is very short this year I may have to lower these expectations. The true definition of a sleeper is that you can take him much later in your draft then you have him forecasted. Right now his ADP is somewhere in the 50s or even lower than that. This makes him very inexpensive to draft in the ninth or tenth rounds or later.

My advice is to keep a close watch on the Bengals as we enter the preseason.

Yes, Mr. Britt, just off a court appearance, was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and a few other details such as damaging evidence or something like that. Don’t take me wrong I don’t mean to be flippant just a little frustrated with such a talented fantasy football player it is hard to watch them put themselves and their career at risk. Not to mention negatively affecting their teammates and their franchise which pays him a lot of money.

Personally I had placed Kenny Britt at the bottom of my top 10 wide receivers. I truly believe his upside is huge, however limited by the inexperienced quarterback for the Titans. This recent brush with the law could land Britt a game suspension anywhere from one to four weeks. This is a guess so don’t think this is a sure thing, but when you are evaluating your fantasy football cheat sheet rankings it is important to take this potential suspension seriously.

This recent brush with the law has caused me to lower Britt significantly. I now have him in the low 20s to low 30s of my wide receiver rankings. A careful watch of the fantasy news at Football diehards over the next few weeks hopefully will give us a better understanding of whether Britt will potentially lose games in 2011.

Even if Britt escapes this latest issue, fantasy football manager skill must recognize that he could easily make another mistake not far down the road. Hence there is additional risk to selecting Britt in your fantasy draft in the first three rounds. So keep a close eye on football diehard’s fantasy football cheat sheet rankings as we will be adjusting his position as information comes out.

However, no immediate decision is supposed to be rendered, and the judges may take anywhere from two to six weeks in making their decision. The eighth circuit court strongly hinted in their last decision that they would rule in keeping the lockout in place. Their last decision was to maintain the lockout after they gave their emergency ruling to reinstate the lockout when the NFL filed with them immediately after Judge Nelson ruled the lockout illegal. In that decision they hinted that after the June 3 hearing they most likely were going to keep the same rolling which would hold the lockout and leave fantasy football managers sitting on their hands and waiting.

Possible light at the end of the tunnel occurred earlier this week when the NFL and players met secretively for essentially two days – without lawyers! Following this the judge initiated or should I say advanced the mediation to what he called “confidential settlement talks.” Confusing as it may be, this could be inkling that fantasy football may be just around the corner.

Optimism needs to be tempered at this point. The realization that the players have not lost very much income, to date, means that they may not be in a big hurry to settle, despite the fact that the NFL seems to be holding the upper hand at this point. The majority of their income is earned during the regular season which means week one is a pivotal point and that’s far far away. However, there is hope that during this two to six week time frame both sides could make some meaningful agreements now that we’re in this confidential settlement mode.
