It probably seems a little frustrating. But don’t worry, there’s a simple way to exercise once again: walking! You should make walking a huge element of your exercise plan.

First, when you’re setting up a workout program, be sure and include walking as a day-to-day activity. Have a dog? Take your dog for a nice, long walk. Anything under 10 minutes doesn’t count. After one week, you’ll have walked no less than seventy minutes more than if you hadn’t gone for walks at all. Interested to get a bit more work out? Take your dog for two walks daily. One thing you might consider is walking part of the way to workplace; you can make this as long as you want by simply stopping short of your workplace. Surely, irrespective of how far you are from your office, you can work something out to get a little exercise on the way there. A half an hour walk to work is feasible, and if you walk to and from work you’ll be walking for an hour daily. If you catch a bus, just walk to the next bus stop so that you do a little more walking in the day. It’s not at all difficult to integrate walking to your daily routine.

Walking is wonderful for your body and general health. This is because walking is one of the most efficacious aerobic exercises. This means it’s not only terrific for your heart, but you’ll experience weight loss too. You don’t have to be anxious about overworking your joints or muscles like when running, since you can walk as slowly as you need to. My brother is very slim (but he eats a lot of junk food) and I asked him how he remains lean. He tells me doesn’t know how he does it, but he say that he goes for a walk each day. It all made sense when he said that. Since, for many of us, nothing is easier than walking, we don’t have a good excuse not to.

You’re more likely to stick with your walking regimen if you simply make it part of your day-to-day routine. Then, with a proper, nutritious diet, you’ll also start slimming down as if by magic. By walking you’ll also feel better and you won’t be bored by it because it’s not strenuous at all, which will make you feel more inspired. As you walk more and see changes, you’ll want to do more or up the level of intensity of your walks. This is great; anytime is a good time for you to do it. Try walking at a faster pace or, if you’re feeling very positive, you could begin jogging. From there, you can progress to more strenuous exercises.

Now the truth is out – there is absolutely no excuse to not get out there and begin walking. Even if you lead a busy life you can spend 10 minutes to walk in your yard, or if you’re a member of a gym, nip in and do half an hour on the treadmill at a slow pace to start off with.
